We regret to announce that Nixle has informed us that as of April, 29, 2011 their service will move from being a free service to a pay service at a cost of over $3000/year. As of the current time, the Webster Police Department is unable to continue this service we have been happy to provide for the last year. Free service will continue, however only for emergency text message notifications. General notifications and all email service will cease as of April 29, 2011.

We are currently in the process of exploring other opportunities to continue to provide you with a similar service. We invite you to continue your membership with Nixle until we have migrated to a new system as we will continue to use Nixle in an unrestricted manner until the change of service takes place and will use the emergency alerts after that date until a new solution is in place.

You will be alerted prior to our Nixle service being permanently terminated at which time all links on our website will be removed.

We apologize for the changes that will be occuring to this service, but at the current time they are out of our control. It is our goal, as a community oriented Police Department to initiate an agreement with another service as soon as possible so as to continue being able to provide you with community outreach information.
